Crain Brothers Band
FREE SHOW!
Saturday, December 21 | 9PM
The Crain Brothers Band consists of brothers and family friends who have been singing and playing music professionally for years.
Eric and Alex claim the band actually started on Christmas Day, 1972 when they woke up to find an electric guitar and drums in front of the Christmas tree. Years later, when they heard their younger brother, Jon, singing like Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, they realized there was no turning back. The Crain boys’ parents—Don and Susanne—had instilled a love for music in them early on. Susanne is a classically trained pianist. And Don had been in a vocal group called The Four Presidents back in the 1950s.
In the late 90s, Alex was signed to Island Records. His band Spectacle released only one album. While it was favorably reviewed and their summer single “You Made Me Hate the Beach Boys” played often on the LA station, KROQ, the record wasn’t a commercial success. Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys attended Spectacle’s final LA concert. Alex asked Brian what he thought.
“Oh man, that really warmed my soul,” he said.
And that’s what we’re all about.
Must be 21 or older to attend.
